「當一位病人確診認知障礙症，醫生要看的，可能是兩位病人。」受訪醫生解釋認知障礙症的照顧時間很長，病徵可以因人而異，加上患者未必會與照顧者合作 —— 照顧者承受的壓力相對更大，醫護人員在看顧患者的同時，也得留意照顧者。

香港近年不斷出現照顧者「爆煲」的新聞，這不盡是家庭慘劇，而是社會對照顧者的付出視若無睹：照顧僅是家人的責任，專家報告不斷建議加強家人的照顧能力，甚至部份社福界在慘劇發生後，歸咎是照顧者不求助：「好多服務，照顧者唔知道！」

然而當大銀的記者團隊逐一訪問，很快便感受到照顧者的無助，例如打了十多條照顧者求助熱線，有些需要不斷輸入數字指令，好不容易找到真人接聽，才問幾句就建議打另一些電話，而這些電話線職又說沒服務，部份更是語氣無禮。這本書介紹的查詢電話，接聽職員或社工都友善有耐性，不過照顧者需要知道時間和服務範圍。
